Driven by a passion for watchmaking and audacious design, La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton proudly presents the Louis Vuitton Watch Prize for Independent Creatives – an award that celebrates creative talent, savoir-faire, and innovation, while encouraging artisans and entrepreneurs to strive as the future generations of watchmakers.
the Prize
A contest that invites independent watchmakers from around the world to apply, the Louis Vuitton Watch Prize 2023-2024 began by selecting 20 semi-finalists to be assessed by 45 watchmaking enthusiasts, comprising the contest's Committee of Experts. The 5 qualifying finalists were then carefully chosen and the experts nominated a jury among themselves, who were responsible for casting the final votes and determining the winner — presented with a bespoke trophy. As a biennial event, the next edition of the Prize is set to unfold over the next two years.

The winner of the Louis Vuitton Watch Prize for Independent Creatives is offered a grant as well as a one-year mentorship by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, tailored to the needs of their creative project. A dedicated team will support the winner in multiple aspects, including communication, copyright and corporate legal aspects, as well as marketing, industrial strategy, and the financial management of a brand. This mentorship represents a unique and valuable opportunity for independent watchmakers to be mentored by experts and thus combine creativity and commercial success.
